This Workshop is part of the framework of the joint project DFG-CONARE Costa Rican-German Collaboration: Character Varieties and Higgs Bundles. The main goal here will be to present the most recent research work on the subject.

There will be three mini-courses, eight research talks, and a poster session.

In mini-courses, the lecturers Ana Casimiro (Minicourse 01), Alfonso Zamora (Minicourse 02), and Carlos Florentino (Minicourse 03), will prepare some easy research questions for the younger participants. For each lecture series, there will be round table sessions which work on these problems in the evenings. The lecturers could be present as mentors. At the end of the event, the groups will report on their progress.

The event will take place at Universidad de Costa Rica, Sede Guanacaste, Recinto Liberia, from August 4th to August 8th, 2025.
